Serinus Energy has announced that the drilling of the Moftinu Nord-1 exploration well in Romania commenced. The Moftinu Nord prospect is located on the northern flank of the Carei Basin, approx. 5 kms to the northwest of the Company s Moftinu Gas Plant.

The well, which was targeting three prospective hydrocarbon zones, encountered indications of residual gas, and will be suspended for potential future use as a water disposal well.
