The Justice Department announced on Monday a $2.02 million settlement on civil rights complaints made by female corrections officers at the Mobile County Metro Jail in Alabama.
Those officers “were regularly subjected to severe and pervasive sexual harassment . the sheriff’s office did not take the complaints seriously," the DOJ said.
The synthetic opioid is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. A small dose can lead to death. And it’s being found “in everything,” says one drug education official in Alabama.
