Going from nearly homeless to nursing instructor, Mo Weinman has accomplished much in her life.
Until a few weeks ago, Weinman was working as a full-time critical care nurse at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis and part-time as a second-year clinical nursing instructor at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany. She is cross-trained to work in the intensive care unit.
She has scaled back a few hours at the hospital to complete her master’s degree in nursing education. At home, she is raising four children, ages 5 and 18 and twins who are 20, with her husband.
Weinman is from Southern California, where she and her ex-husband struggled with homelessness. She said they just couldn’t seem to find a place to settle. Her cousin in Albany invited her to visit. The couple decided to stay, but the marriage dissolved.  ....
