The San Antonio Spurs had a rough week, but they managed to back themselves into the play-in tournament the same weekend the cornerstone of the franchise - Tim Duncan - was enshrined in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. While the Spurs needed a loss by the Kings to get a chance to play in the playoffs, they had plenty to celebrate with the enshrinement of Tim Duncan.
Week 21: The week began with the Milwaukee Bucks coming to San Antonio. The Eastern Confernce #3 seed was already playoff bound when they arrived to play the Spurs. And the Spurs routed them 146 to 125 (and tied for the 2nd-highest scoring half in Spurs history). The Silver and Black were on fire, shooting 59.6% FG and an almost identical 58.6% from 3 for the game (hitting 12 threes in the first half).

The Portland Trail Blazers harnessed the power of a four-game winning streak to bounce back in the latest round of NBA power rankings. Thanks to their unblemished record last week the Blazers returned to the fringes of the top 10 and moved out of the NBA play-in field for the time being.
No. 11. Contributor Royce Young explained that Portland is headed in the right direction as the postseason inches closer.
After an awkward few weeks, the Blazers have righted the ship and have gotten out of the play-in spot. They’ve won four straight, all on the road, with CJ McCollum working back to full strength and the role players stepping up. For Portland, avoiding the play-in is the priority; with a favorable schedule to close out, chances are looking much better than they did a week ago.
