Politics. so the first part of your statement i would agree with. the finish, i would disagree with, and here s why. so the fisa process is unique. it s not like any other court hearing. it s not like each side advocates for themselves. in the fisa process, it s just the government going to the court, asking them if there is probable cause to believe that the target of the application is an agent of a foreign power. the court has only the fbi s information to rely upon. so it is incumbent upon us to provide all of the derogatory information that would basically argue that the person but they didn t. and mitigating information. so if we have mitigating information that cuts against the argument, we re supposed to provide that as well. in this case we didn t, and shame on us. that was a mistake. he doesn t get to that in here. he says the answers he was offered were unsatisfying, but they re all admitted, admitted, admitt admitted. cia, says this guy, we find him to be credible ....

The inspector general s report. omitted information the fbi had obtained from another u.s. agency meaning the cia detailed the entire relationship with page detailing he had been approved as an operational contact for the other agency from 2018 to 2013 concerning his contacts with certain russian intelligence. wouldn t that have been a really relevant thing to know? that the cia had trusted carter page and he had helped the u.s. government? it s a very relevant fact and it is one that absolutely should have been brought to the court s attention. so in a fisa package, the fbi is obligated to provide all the information we have to the court that s relevant. both information that s derogatory or makes the proposed target look like he might be an agent of a foreign power. and information that s mitigating. that would have been a mitiga ....

In exchange for investigations by july 25th. so this is another element that bolsters the argument that this was a quid pro quo. this was a favor for a favor. this was the president saying no aid unless you give me vesgagss. i think it s really important because as we brought from the individual evidence stacking up today, the white house has been very sloppy because they haven t landed on a defense. are you denying, didn t do it. mitigating? some after it had happened, wasn t as bad. edit all of it, don t care. the joy behar defense. who cares. i say that because joy is a friend or was until this moment. joy behar defense works on little stuff. harder when it s abuse of power. abuse of military funding, missiles. we ve heard some of that. also the full mulvaney. we do it all the time, get over it. they have recently, and you and i follow this for a living, they have gone back to a more of a it ....

To six-month range. that could be what stone is looking at. the federal sentencing guidelines are very complicated and involve adding up a lot of aggravating and mitigating circumstances, but it s not unrealistic to think that roger stone could be looking at zero to maybe a year in prison. is there an avenue for appeal here? there s always an avenue of appeal, in fact, appeals are essentially automatic after a conviction in federal court, so he ll at least get a chance to point out any irregularities in the trial at the federal court of appeals, but that s your one shot. and generally there s a lot of deference given to the trial court and to the jury. how likely is it that the president s pardon might come out for his long serving adviser? i tweeted about this yesterday. i think a pardon for roger stone is a very real possibility. i don t have time to list all the reasons why, but number one, the president likes roger stone. number two, he might need his ....
