Students out now, they would get ahead of the brunt of the snowfall. About two hours ago, we were up at sands gap one of the highest points in Madison County where snow tends to fall first. The elevation is more than 3700 feet. Just an hour later, we came down the mountain where kids were boarding the buses, ready to head home. Some of those waiting in line to pick up students say they know conditions can change quickly so they know to expect to break away for an early dismisal times during the winter months.
