Following a student-led nomination process, 23 MIT faculty have been selected as the newest honorees for the Committed to Caring award. These professors were selected for their genuine dedication to student mentorship and well-being.
MIT assistant professor and saxophonist Miguel Zenón won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album. He and pianist Luis Perdomo won for their album "El Arte Del Bolero Vol. 2."
The National Academy of Sciences awarded MIT professor emerita and pioneering molecular biologist Nancy Hopkins with the 2024 Public Welfare Medal for leadership in advancing women’s representation in science.
MIT Professor Susan Solomon won the 2023 VinFuture Award for Female Innovators in recognition of her contributions to understanding ozone depletion and the creation of the Montreal Protocol.
