With vaccine rates up and coronavirus cases down, many Oklahoma events are making a comeback this year, which means plenty of springtime fun is planned across the state, just in time for Mother s Day on Sunday. 
From dancing nuns to animatronic dinosaurs, here are 10 possible outings for your mama this Mother s Day weekend (and they all should pair nicely with dinner, flowers and maybe some chocolates):

If you want to make the central Oklahoma art rounds in one night, add Thursday evening to your calendar, starting in Edmond. Even if you can’t fit everything in one night, you’ll have other opportunities to enjoy our arts community.
Downtown Edmond is hosting VIBES each Thursday from now through October, featuring artists, performers and businesses celebrating the community from 5 to 9 p.m. This month’s special attraction will be Sidewalk Chalk Art Night by Matin Alavi, Chandler Domingos, Elisha Gallegos, Annie Lovett, Nicole Poole and Sara presented by Oklahoma ER & Hospital. Thirty years after she singlehandedly revived her tribe s lost pottery traditions, Caddo artist Jereldine Jeri Redcorn is still making her mark.
The Oklahoma ceramics artist, 81, is creating a large-scale work for the interior of the long-awaited First Americans Museum, due to open Sept. 18 southeast of the Interstate-35/40 interchange near downtown Oklahoma City. 
Conceived in the 1990s as the American Indian Cultural Center and Museum, the $175 million, 175,000-square-foot museum is designed to Smithsonian Institution standards to serve as a repository for the history, stories and traditions of the tribal nations headquartered in Oklahoma.  ....
