Motivator. this is a right that people have had for nearly 50 years, and i think it s important what you point out, reverend. this did not happen, this abortion ban in texas or in mississippi didn t happen because the voters of those states or the people in those states rose up and said we need to ban abortion. this happened because the republican party in an effort to excite their extreme right base has done everything they can to ban abortion. so it is going to be a motivating issue, i believe, but you were talking earlier about voting rights. it is not a mistake or an accident that the same states that are banning abortion are trying to prevent people from going to the polls. they re trying to prevent expansion of access to affordable health care. this is the republican party agenda, and so this is, i hope, a wake-up call for anyone who has thought this couldn t happen. it can with the supreme court
