Former Marines Undertake New Mission For South Sudan

Two former Marines have partnered with Mission Cry to send a shipment of 50,000 books to South Sudan.
Mission Cry’s Jason Woolford told Mission Network News the Marines, Aaron and Bobby, were wounded in Afghanistan.
They wanted to embark an another mission, driving across the country to collect donated Bibles for South Sudan.
Ten years after gaining independence, South Sudan cannot shake its chronic violence.
Last month the UN published a report stating, “vast swathes of South Sudan have witnessed a massive escalation of violence”.
Mr Woolford says people are being maimed and even martyred for their faith. ....

Mission Cry delivers hope to South Sudan
South Sudan (MNN) Ten years after gaining independence, South Sudan
Last month, the United Nations published a report describing ongoing atrocities, stating “
vast swathes of South Sudan have witnessed a massive escalation in violence perpetrated by organized tribal militias exceeding the violent conflict of December 2013.”
“People are martyred for their faith; they’re being maimed physically, and they can’t even read about the very God they’re under fire for.”
Now, hope is on its way to South Sudan in the form of 50,000 Bibles and Christian books.
Mission Cry collects donated resources like these and ships them to believers around the world. A church in Kentucky and two former Marines partnered with Mission Cry to send this latest order on its way. ....

Christian ministry sends 160,000 Bibles, books into China

By Christmas, Christians in China will receive the gift of two shipping containers packed with books and Bibles, said Mission Cry President Jason Woolford. 
In total this year, Mission Cry has sent 160,000 free Bibles and Christian books worth $3.5 million into China. And Chinese Christians need Bibles now more than ever because of increased religious persecution, Woolford said.
“In January, the Communist Party intensified their persecution against Christianity,” he told The Christian Post. “It’s not talked about, but if you look up China shutting down Bible stores, right now Bibles are being pulled from online stores in China. They’re trying to control the religion. Just as Nazi Germany did, there are only state-approved churches.” ....
