Miss Northeast 2022 contestants, BASN organise 'charity sale' for underprivileged children in Kohima

Our Correspondent Kohima, Oct. 29 (EMN): In a bid to raise funds for underprivileged children with their education, the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) and the 15 contestants for the upcoming Miss North East 2022, organised a ‘charity sale’ in Kohima on Saturday. The 15 contestants from eight north-eastern states arrived in Nagaland on Oct. 26 to vie for the Miss North East 2022 title, the grand finale of which has been scheduled in Kohima on Nov. 3. Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Shanavas C addressing the inaugural charity sale said that Northeast is a ‘neglected area’ in the country and therefore needs special attention. He called upon the people of Northeast to spread the message that lack of development is not an excuse for corruption. He said that people in Northeast are so accustomed to it that they are okay with what they have and the corruption just goes up.
