FORT HOOD â Little Miss Five Hills Braelyn Liles has never chosen anything but cheese â and only cheese â on her pizza. Yet, Braelyn, 5, grabbed a handful of bacon and plopped it in the middle of her pizza and topped it off with a handful of spinach. She got out of her comfort zone as she and Miss Five Hills titleholders became pizzaiolos at Dominoâs on Fort Hood.
âBraelyn is such a picky eater and watching her pile on all kinds of ingredients was shocking to me. Much to my surprise, she actually ate it and enjoyed it,â said Christy Liles, Braelynâs mother. âShe absolutely loved every second of it and you could tell she felt so grown up doing it. Thanks to Dominoâs for this because she rarely eats meat and now maybe she will be more open to meat options and trying new things.â
Preteen Miss Five Hills Dorianna Gilbert knew if she won one of the crowns at the 8th Annual Miss Five Hills Scholarship Pageant on March 27, she would tie another titleholder for having been selected by a panel of judges to wear the crown the third time, the most in the pageantâs history.
âI entered this pageant for a fourth time because I felt like it was time to get back out there again,â Gilbert said. âIâm much older now and I wanted to show everyone that I can go higher and compete with the older girls that I looked up to. I made a promise to myself that I would compete in 2021 because in 2020, I was busy filming for a television show and couldnât dedicate my time to the pageant that year.â
