Toei Animation announced on Tuesday that the second anime season based on Daisuke Ashihara s
World Trigger manga will begin streaming on Crunchyroll and France s Anime Digital Network (Note: Crunchyroll owns Kazé, which owns Anime Digital Network) on January 9, the same day that it premieres in Japan. All episodes will stream with English subtitles as they air in Japan.
The second season will premiere on January 9 as part of TV Asahi s NUMAnimation programming block. The anime will air for one
cours (one quarter of a year). The new season s first two episodes will have a special screening run with exclusive footage in 12 theaters in Japan from December 25 to January 7. The special theatrical edition of the first two episodes alone will feature 51 cast members.
