A Clearwater woman is accused of throwing a dog over a motel balcony railing in Daytona Beach.Deputies were called to a Motel 6 on West Speedway Boulevard because staff said a guest attacked an employee and then threatened to jump off the second-floor balcony.When investigators arrived, they said 35-year-old Allison Murphy was already back in her room.When she finally opening the door, Murphy stepped out with a 40-pound German shepherd puppy which she suddenly picked up.Murphy then threw the dog over the balcony. The dog, which rescuers named Miracle, landed on her feet with her leash still attached and ran toward a busy roadway.Jose Carnot was operating his food truck nearby and grabbed the frightened dog, returning her to the hotel and law enforcement.Deputies say Miracle survived the fall without injury, though doctors did find a sewing needle lodged in her thigh and removed it.
