Belarusian People s Congress to feature 370 delegates from Minsk Artem Tsuran. Archive photo MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – The process to elect delegates to the 6th Belarusian People s Congress from Minsk is in full swing, deputy head of the Belarusian People s Congress organizing committee, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Hall Artem Tsuran told BelTA. “The organizing committee is working together with public associations of Minsk that represent thousands of employees of Minsk-based enterprises and offer solid support. The most numerous organizations are trade unions, the Belarusian Union of Women, the BRSM Youth Union, Belaya Rus, and the veterans organization. In total, they include over 1.3 million of Minsk residents – a massive figure. According to the representation quotas, Minsk can send 370 delegates to the congress. As many as 168 women have been elected as delegates from Minsk,” Artem Tsuran said. ....
