Experts and stakeholders from across the globe and India congregated here at a two-day workshop beginning Tuesday deliberating on the role of cooperatives in global supply chain logistics and how they contribute to sustainable development and inclusive growth.

The Netherlands Embassy, in collaboration with VNU Asia Pacific and DLG Thai, co-organised a press conference to announce Horti Asia under the theme “Challenge & Solution for Asia Horticultural business.” The event was held on 25 April 2022 at the residence of the Netherland’s Ambassador who delivered welcome remarks, followed by pitch presentations from seven companies sharing different knowledge from various perspectives.
“As Thailand has been invited to attend the International Horticultural Expo (EXPO 2022 Floriade Almere) during 13 April – 9 October 2022 in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Cabinet passed a resolution on October 12, 2020, assigning the Department of Agricultural Extension from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives as the main agency to operate on the behalf of Thailand together with relevant agencies in both the Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperatives and other government agencies and the private sector,” said DR. Thongplew Kongjun, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, recently. “The objective is to demonstrate the potential and progression of agriculture in Thailand, to build confidence in the quality standards of Thai agricultural and health products, to exchange and expand horticultural cooperation with various parties and raise awareness of environmental conservation and sustainable development.”
