BANGKOK - Thailand s Prime Minister apologised and took the blame on Tuesday (June 15) for coronavirus vaccination delays, while thousands of private companies and public organisations raced to secure doses imported by a royal-backed academy.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said hold-ups were caused by supply and distribution issues, after some hospitals in Bangkok were forced to postpone scheduled inoculations this week.
I apologise for the problem and would like to take full responsibility for solving it, Mr Prayut told reporters. ....

With Myanmar at a crossroads amid continuing violence toward those opposed to military rule following a February coup, neighbouring Thailand, caught in a dilemma over its close military ties with Myanmar, appears determined to lay low for now.
