On October 11, 2022, the United Nations General Assembly elected Vietnam and 13 other countries to be members of the Council of Nations for the 2023 - 2025 term. Continuing the ongoing tasks and goals assuming this position, from the beginning of 2024, Vietnam actively prepared for activities at the high-level meeting of the 55th regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHUN), held from February 26-29, 2024, in Geneva (Switzerland).
