Did YOU fall for any? The very best of today s April Fools jokes

Did you fall for any April Fools jokes today? Don t worry, we ve all been there.  This year s jokes have ranged from hot tea taps and Subway hand helpers to the part-soup, part-smoothie Smoup and a treadmill grasscutter. Piers Morgan joked that he had been given his old job at Good Morning Britain back after the Archbishop of Canterbury broke his silence on the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry interview with Oprah Winfrey.  Ant and Dec announced their Dec and Ant rebrand, while Good Morning Britain aired a fake Love Island rip off called Dove Island . Some jokes backfired, though - with car giant Volkswagen being forced to admit that its rebrand Voltswagen was a joke after everyone took them at their word.

I find the trend of turning fruit and vegetables into huge jugs of slush ridiculous Just eat the fruit and vegetables — it s why we have teeth

Did you grow up in a family where food was important? I grew up in the Middle East and both my parents worked, so we always had help in the kitchen which was the norm back then; my parents didn’t cook much. Our home was very busy and glamorous with lots of entertaining, which was typical for expatriates in the 1970s. When my parents had parties, my mother would organise catering, usually a mix of European and Middle Eastern food, and for days afterwards, our fridge would be jam-packed with delicious, exotic dishes and honey-coated flaky Lebanese cakes. What’s your most vivid food memory from childhood?
