A COUNCIL S ruling Labour group s obsession with housebuilding will destroy all the green space in its borough, a Liberal Democrat councillor has alleged.
Cllr Paul Browne made the accusation as Blackburn with Darwen Planning Committee approved a controversial homes development at the second time of asking.
Last month its granting of permission for the for 165 houses south of Whalley Old Road in Sunny Bower, Blackburn, had to be rescinded the following day after officials decided that residents and Conservative members claims it lacked a Minerals Resource Assessment were correct.
On Thursday the committee approved the scheme after the MRA said: There is no prospect of minerals ever being worked in the future on the application site.” ....
