普朗铜矿位于云南省迪庆藏族自治州香格里拉市区东北部，矿区海拔为3400-4500米，高寒缺氧的自然环境给安全生产带来了较大挑战。

同时，因远程操作可以实现1个矿车司机开多辆矿运车的方案，以前普朗铜矿3个班组72名工作人员合作才能完成的工作，现在“28名远程控制员+3名安全巡视员”即可完成，采矿生产真正实现少人化、无人化、智能化。
“总体来说，普朗铜矿所有设备实现5G智能控制，加速了每步工艺的无缝衔接，整体工作效率提升了64%。矿山员工由传统矿山的3000人规模锐减到700人左右。”刘健说。
