Wheelin' at Westlawn FREE bicycle tune-up events and family rides scheduled for 2021 » Urban Milwaukee


 
The annual Wheelin’ at Westlawn event is returning in 2021with multiple dates and the addition of organized family bike rides for the Westlawn community and other area residents. The bicycle tune-ups and repairs will take place on
Friday, June 25 and
Friday, July 23 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Westlawn Gardens Playground Pavilion (located on N. 62
nd St. and W. Custer Ave.). The family bike rides will take place on the subsequent Saturdays, June 26 and July 24, starting at 10 a.m. The rides will begin at the Westlawn Gardens Playground Pavilion.
Alderman
Cavalier Johnson is encouraging those in the area to take advantage of this event. “Biking is a cost-effective activity that allows the whole family to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and have fun,” Alderman Johnson said. “Those who live in Westlawn and the surrounding area should mark their calendars now to utilize the free bike repair service and partake in a fun morning bike ride.” ....
