Omar Radi and Soulaimane Raissouni were sentenced on appeal to six and five years in prison respectively in 2022 in sexual assault cases, charges they deny. Lawyers for the detainees and human rights defenders in Morocco urged the authorities to find a "judicial, political and legal solution" so that the two journalists could regain their freedom.
