The Cheers Trail program/brochure started in 2016, according to Henderson County TDA Assistant Director Karen Baker.
Last year, The Cheers Trail Passport became available and can be purchased at the Visitor Center on Main Street for $10. Participants who visit at least 12 venues and get their passport stamped can redeem a gift valued at $10 once it is brought back to the Visitor Center.
Gift options include a set of four stone coasters, a wine stopper, stainless steel wine glass or a waiter’s bottle opening tool, according to the Visit Hendersonville website.
The Cheers Trail Passport was launched in May 2020, and about 1,000 have been sold since then, according to Baker. The passport has no expiration date and may be experienced year-round.

With the windows down on the way to Mills River Brewing Company, the scent of burgers hitting the grill and chicken frying fills the air.
The mix of a sun-filled evening and plenty of inside and out dining space apparently gave many the same idea as me. As the brewery came into view, I spotted a full parking lot, a sight reminiscent of pre-pandemic days.
I hadn’t visited Juju’s Craft Cookery, Mills River s house food operations, since writing a full review two years or so ago. The menu seemed relatively unchanged, with beer friendly food including a slew of burger options loaded with tempting ingredients such as candied bacon and caramelized balsamic onions.
