Live music, theater events are back this spring

Pawtucket On Saturday, May 8, Pawtucket-based TEN31 Productions will host a magical afternoon at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, 1 Floral Ave. in Providence, with their Wonderland in the Gardens event featuring live-action “Alice in Wonderland” characters based on Sir John Tenniel’s original sketches from the 1865 edition. From 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. people are invited to this family-friendly event to see talking characters including the Chesire Cat, Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, and more. “It’s going to be a walk-through experience, so you get to enjoy the garden,” Joe Pari, co-founder of TEN31 Productions, told The Breeze. “Many people don’t know there’s a rose maze at the back of the Botanical Center. The Red Queen will be there doting on her roses.” While it will be fun for the children, “it’s still going to be really cool for adults,” Pari said. “The costuming is really beautiful.”
