We will call the hearing to order today we are welcoming the administrator of the federal Emergency Management agency to discuss the Response Recovery to hurricane harvey, irma and maria and the wildfires spread across california. Thank you for being here to join us. The magnitude of the disaster we are experiencing this year is unprecedented. I want to thank you and the thousands of personnel who deployed and continue to work tirelessly to help the communities and families get back on their feet in the wake of every instance of the devastating events. Congress has passed to emergency supplementals that are providing an additional 26 public and to ensure the ability to respond to the aftermath of disasters. Now its time to shift focus is from response to recovery and while some of these efforts are already underway there is a long road ahead. But first, lets start with where we are. Thanks to the hard work of so many tennesseans, i believe the state of our state has never been better. Our economy is outpacing the national economy. Not only do more tennesseans have a job today than ever in the history of our state, but tennessees median house goal Household Income has grown at the second fastest rate in the country. [applause] not only are we adding jobs, we are adding good paying jobs. On education, there is no
