Shares in the retro US retailer GameStop soared on Thursday after users of the Reddit forum WallStreetBets pledged to once again send the stock to the moon . 
In a rally reminiscent of the January frenzy, GameStop rose as much as 85pc to $170.01 in New York before a series of trading halts kicked in to guard against volatility.
It came a day after an unexpected surge doubled the price of the video game retailer’s stock. ....

Millennials have turned to gold as a safe haven for their cash after being spooked by stock market falls in 2020.
The price of the precious metal soared in the last year and the Royal Mint, Britain’s leading producer of bullion coins, said it had witnessed a 32pc rise in Millennial customers. Younger people are taking an increasing interest in gold. Figures published last year show around a quarter of the Royal Mint’s 6,000 new customers were under the age of 35.  ....
