African countries sending in this army to niger, but they did not admit did not share a time line. which means that the way we read this, they are still exploring diplomacy but not taking the military option off the table. is there unity in the approach of ecowas or are there divisions in different ways to approach this in the restoration of democracy? reporter: ecowas maintains that all the heads of state that met agreed unanimously to do this standby force, to send it to niger. but i have to point out ecowas is already divided between the military sides and civilian democratically led sides. and so niger has support from its neighbors who are all head by military juntas. so they are sticking together against all the other 11 democratically led countries that have said this is one coup ....

They would use all measures, including force, to do just that. so far, these coup leaders allied themselves withier military juntas in the regional. and in one specific meeting they went out to mali, back with the wagner group from russia, and now it s basically ecowas, deciding what they are going to do, and risk a protracted conflict that will have devastating effects on the 4.4 people in niger that need military assistance. i spoke a political and security analyst in the country. ecowas will not win, no one will win and niger will lose. ecowas will lose. the international community will lose, too, because it s going to be to create a big humanitarian crisis in this area. not only in this country. ....
