Award-winning Pantochino Productions Inc, a professional not-for-profit theatre company in Milford has announced the return of Pantochino Curbside, which brings original musical theatre to the audiences doorsteps.
Performed outdoors on lawns or driveways, Pantochino Curbside offers three professional, costumed actors performing an original mini-musical. Last summer s performances were an overwhelming success. While audiences wait to get back inside a theatre, we re offering this unique opportunity to bring theatre

MILFORD There was never any doubt where Curran Bishop would start his church.
A Georgia native raised by Rhode Islanders, Bishop founded Christ Presbyterian Church in Milford in 2020. Against all reasonable expectations, the congregation has weathered a global pandemic and seven relocations and reached its first anniversary.
Members will commemorate the occasion with an abbreviated in-person service at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rotary Pavilion at Fowler Field. Regular services are Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at the Milford Arts Council.
“It’s been an interesting odyssey,” Bishop said of the previous 12 months that has seen his 30-member congregation meet for services in backyards, parks and a gaming cafe, among other places. ....

MILFORD Although Joan Kwon Glass has been writing poetry since she was in kindergarten, the national spotlight that President Joe Biden’s inauguration shone on poets has made this an especially exciting time to be one.
“I think the presidential inauguration brought poetry to the forefront when Amanda Gorman was chosen to recite her poem ‘The Hill We Climb,’” said Glass, who teaches social studies in Darien.
“She was the first National Youth Poet Laureate to do so. I think bringing in a young person got people excited,” Glass said. “It is an exciting time to be a poet, and I want to run off that energy here in Milford.” ....
