Maybee family displaced by house fire Wednesday
A Maybee family of four was displaced from their two-story home due to a four-alarm fire that broke out in a spare room above the garage and spread to an adjoining bedroom and two bathrooms Wednesday afternoon.
The fire call to 911 came in about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday from a daughter who was alone and smelled smoke, said Assistant Fire Chief Mark Manor from the London-Maybee-Raisinville (L-M-R) Volunteer Fire Department. The department was the first of several departments to arrive at the brick house in the 2000 block of Baldwin Rd. between Stewart Rd. and Antes Dr. The fire burned through the floor of the spare room and damaged some of the center of the garage, Manor said. ....
