And we do say good morning on this tuesday and start with that weather situation in the caribbean. A catastrophic strike from Hurricane Matthew is imminent for haiti and parts of jamaica. You can see the storm on the radar swirling in the sea, packing winds of more than 140 miles per hour. Overnight in jamaica the outer bands hit kingston sending a wave crashing into the coast. Gas stations closed as polic rescue people and try to take them to higher ground. We have this video from haiti in the meantime, taken right before sunset. The sea is already rising even with the storm well offshore. Three people have already died in the caribbean because of the storm. People in cuba are also preparing for the worst by boarding up buildings and filling sandbags. The storm is then expected to head toward floridas east coast. Mike the eye is 50 miles offshore, but the bands are within five to 10 miles, and you can see the trend, it is drifting closer to the coast, so these heavy bands, which have the strongest winds with them are going to start working inland. Daytona beach may be the area where we see the strongest winds moving on the shore. There is the eye, well defined just off of melbourne letting up as you head dto this point. We saw some wind gusts over a hurricane strength this morning. Those will settle back to 6 one mile per hour winds. Melbourne the winds are picking up, and were continuing to see this area of Hurricane Force winds move its way along the coast, and eventually off the coast later this afternoon. For the carolinas, kind of missing out on whats going to be happening. Today around here were going to be deal ....

Significant action in the Northeast Corner of florida but it will continue to shift northward towards the van, georgia and charleston. Bands of heavy rain, very powerful winds and significant storm surge all along that track. These of the hurricane warnings from south of jacksonville all the way up to the North Carolina coast line. So the Hurricane Force winds or costs rushing the coast line up through georgia and South Carolina, possibly just about and shifting eastward and weakening later in the weekend. 110 mile per hour category two storm. There will be slow weakening but very slow. Then the rainfall. It looks like 10 ages plus and parts of the same area that got significant storm surge and damaging winds. A triple whammy.
