Ligonier Police Department School Resource Officers Chris Shearer and Grant Moser both responded to the report of a child injured on the playground of West Noble Middle School on Monday, April 19.
With emergency officials unable to immediately reach the boyâs parents, Shearer jumped into the ambulance so a young injured sixth-grader would not have to go to Goshen Hospital alone.
âItâs personal,â Shearer said of his job. âYouâre there to mentor them and counsel them. Itâs a lot like theyâre one of your own. I wouldnât want my child to go alone.â

JANUARY 29, 2021 The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, announced Friday additions to the basketball operations staff for the single site season to begin in February at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla.
Michael Ruffin joins the Mad Ants as an Assistant Coach. Ruffin was last a Player Development Coach for the New Orleans Pelicans since 2014. Ruffin spent nine seasons playing in the NBA between 1999 and 2009, playing in 414 games. Ruffin finished his playing career in the 2010-2011 season with Obradoiro CAB in Spain after a brief stint coaching the Colorado Kings of the ABA. The Denver, Colorado native was First Team All-WAC in college while playing for Tulsa.

January is the commonly the coldest month of the year on average in the Northern hemisphere. January is half over already for this New Year. The name given to the month of January is derived from the ancient Roman name Janus who presided over the gate to the New Year. Janus was revered as the God of Gateways, Doorways and of the Journey. Janus is also associated with the Goddess Juno-Janus and often is symbolized by an image of a face that looks forwards and backwards at the same time. This symbolism can easily be associated with the month known by many as the start of a new year which brings new opportunities.
