North Dickinson to spend $97K on technology | News, Sports, Jobs

FELCH TOWNSHIP The North Dickinson County School District will invest almost $100,000 on new technology for its classes and staff.
The North Dickinson County School Board in February authorized spending $52,331 to have Digital Age Technologies Inc. of Davison, Mich., replace 13 classroom “smartboards,” which are interactive video screens that allow lessons and materials to be projected.
Other planned purchases include
28 computers and monitors for the elementary school lab, cost $15,500;
10 computers and monitors for the high school/middle school library, at $5,500;
Six computers and monitors for school staff and administration, at a total cost of $5,100.
The district will spend $97,431 on the purchases, to be paid out of the $118,950 in bond revenue, with $21,519 remaining, said Mike Roell, district finance/athletic director. ....
