Oak Ridge Retired Teachers Organization presents scholarship Special to The Oak Ridger Mike Haygood, president of the Oak Ridge Retired Teachers Association, recently presented the annual scholarship from the organization to Elizabeth A. Lancaster. Elizabeth is the daughter of Thomas and Katherine Lancaster, and will be a 2021 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. During her years at ORHS she was involved in many activities, including Student Council, Masquers, Orchestra, and National Honors Society. She spent time volunteering with a wide variety of school, community, and church groups, such as ‘Food for Kids’, Scouts BSA Troop 946, Young Life, and football concessions to name a few. ....
