Michelin Announces Stars for New York Restaurants
The French producer of guides announced the awards, with a few additions and no subtractions.

The next round of Michelin stars is out. The French producer of guides announced on Thursday awards for New York City and Westchester County, N.Y., restaurants, and revealed additions seven new one-stars and no subtractions.
Now 49 restaurants have the one-star distinction, and the additions are Rezdôra, Don Angie, Tsukimi, Jua, Kochi, Vestry and Francie. Gwendal Poullennec, the international director of the Michelin guides, said the resilience of restaurants in this “unusual and challenging year,” as he put it, was admirable. “Despite the context, restaurants took this year as an opportunity to make progress,” he said. ....

De Blasio Says, ‘This Is Going to Be the Summer of New York City’
Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York set a goal on Thursday for a full reopening of city businesses on July 1, but his authority to lift restrictions was somewhat limited. Capacity limits have been set by the state.
“We are ready to bring New York City back fully on July 1. What you have done is the reason I can make this announcement today, because you’ve gone out, you’ve gotten vaccinated, you’ve done so much to fight through this crisis. Now we can see that light at the end of the tunnel. This is going to be the summer of New York City. We’re all going to get to enjoy this city again. Stephen Brackett is proudly “not cool.” At least that’s what he says though we beg to disagree, because he manages to get an unbelievable amount of cool stuff done for Colorado. Brackett is in constant motion, and where he walks, we’d all be wise to follow.
A graduate of East High School, he gained fame early as part of Flobots, the indie-hip-hop act that had a hit with “Handlebars” and, rather than chase national attention, focused instead on community and getting to work on the activist causes that the act’s members care about much more than clout. Together they launched a nonprofit that eventually became Youth on Record, Colorado’s leading music-education nonprofit. ....
