Inflation as their top economic priority and those high gas prices is really what is driving inflation up at this moment. last week, you know, the president was out in los angeles speaking at the port of los angeles and he took direct aim at these oil companies, specifically calling out exxonmobil for their high profits, saying that they will make sure americans know of what these companies are doing. so with this letter the president is just once again trying to put some pressure on these oil companies to try to offer some relief, increase their supply as so many americans are seeing high gas prices which is causing major economic anxiety for them and also a political liability for the president heading into the midterm electiones. we do have energy secretary jefr inn granholm later in the show. we will ask her if and how the white house intends to force these oil companies to refine more gas. so much more on that coming up. arlette, christine, thank you both very much. new day co
