Sanford Lake Park spray park to reopen

Sanford Lake Park spray park to reopen around Memorial Day There currently is no park admission fee Dec. 29, 2020 FacebookTwitterEmail The park in general is open year around to visitors. Currently, Midland County is not collecting a park admission fee as it has in the past, because Sanford Lake is not open for swimming after the Sanford Dam was breached last May and the lake reverted to its original state as the Tittabawassee River. Donations, however, are being accepted from park visitors. John Schmude, director of Midland County Parks and Recreation, noted that a fence is set up all along the eastern end of the park to keep people away from the lake bottom.
