We are expecting it to make landfall here late saturday. between moorehead city and cape hatteras, as a major category 3 hurricane. bringing winds potentially up to and over 115 miles per hour, 120 miles per hour. and rolling through to new england. the impact friday night, making landfall along new engla. major flooding from the storm surge, along with torrential rainfall. then the storm moves over the outebanks, towards delmarva and into the northeast and new england, bringing massive flooding here, including for new york city. rob and tanya, back to you. jim, thank you. now, to an amazing view, showing the vast scope of the storm. this is what irene currently looks like from the international space station. it is an enormous mass. the clouds stretching more than 1,000 miles at its widest point. the hurricane is kicking up the surf along the atlantic coast, all the way from south florida, to new jersey. people are being warned to stay out of the water because of dangerous rip cur ....
