Angeline Boulley, a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, released her debut novel, “Firekeeper’s Daughter” in March. The book will also be adapted for a series on Netflix. HigherGrounds Productions, the company developed by President Obama,announced they are producing the series. Mickey Fisher is adapting the book with the assistance of Wenonah Wilms, who wrote “Horsehead Girls” and is also Ojibwe.
