NEW HAVEN Superintendent of Schools Iline Tracey has apologized to the school board and community for how the district handled an administrator’s use of racial slur at a city school this past school year.
“We messed up,” said Tracey. “I am apologizing because I am hearing that staff and the community are hurting.”
The apology came two hours into a meeting this week that began with 17 members of the public demanding that more be done to investigate not only decisions related to the reassignment of former Brennan-Rogers Principal Laura Roblee, but the aftermath, as well.
