Participants of the pro-Palestine encampment at UCLA said they spent Thursday night and the early hours of Friday morning maintaining their structures without knowing how the UCLA administration would react.
Students for Justice in Palestine at UCLA expressed discontent regarding recent difficulties communicating with administration officials and planning events. Mohammad, a spokesperson for SJP at UCLA who has been granted partial anonymity for safety reasons, said he does not feel that his organization has been treated fairly by UCLA’s Student Organizations, Leadership and Engagement office.
Students discussed feeling a lack of support from UCLA and the Undergraduate Students Association Council during public comment at the council’s meeting Tuesday. USAC is the official student government representing the undergraduate student body at UCLA.
