ANN ARBOR, MI Nurses represented by the University of Michigan Professional Nurses Council voted Friday, Dec. 18, to ratify a one-year contract with Michigan Medicine.
The contract between Michigan Medicine, the academic medical center of the University of Michigan, and the professional nurses council, which represents 6,100 registered nurses at University of Michigan health care facilities, will be in effect from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022.
The agreement happened out of the desire to halt contract negotiations until after the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said. The current contract with the professional nurses council was set to expire June 30, 2021. ....
