Two more Richmond restaurants are closing for good amid the coronavirus pandemic that has devastated the full service restaurant industry.
Dutch & Company restaurant in Church Hill and Nota Bene in Shockoe Bottom announced their closures Thursday evening on social media. Both are award-winning, independently owned restaurants — and both had made changes to try to weather the pandemic.
Nota Bene in Shockoe Bottom will remain open through the weekend and running specials to sell out its food and next week it will begin selling its interior wares. Its closing will bring the total of Richmond-area restaurant closures due to the economic impact of COVID to at least 45, including Amici di Enzo, Bistro 27, Morton’s Steakhouse, an Urban Farmhouse, FW Sullivan’s, Saltbox Oyster Co., Metro Grill, Shockoe Espresso and a couple of Starbucks locations. ....
