Jayne Susanne Cushman. SOUTH THOMASTON Jayne Susanne Cushman, 64, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones after a five-year battle with frontal temporal dementia. Jayne was born in Rockland on July 4, 1957, to Jeanie and Edward Billings. As a child Jayne loved spending time on her father’s ground fishing boat. From a young age, she especially enjoyed caring for her horses. Over the years, she won many trophies and ribbons for barrel racing and showing horses. She had an enormous love for all animals and was very much a “farm girl.” She graduated from Rockland District High School, Class of 1975. After graduating, she waitressed at several local restaurants where she met her life-long friend, Francesca “Muffi” Thorn. ....
