Bad Gastein to host first parallel slalom event of Snowboard World Cup season Monday, 11 January 2021 Bad Gastein will host the first parallel slalom competition of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup of the season. Three parallel giant slalom events have been held to date, with the latest competition taking place at Scuol in Switzerland on Saturday (January 9). Qualification will take place tomorrow morning, with the top 16 athletes progressing to the latter stages of the competition. Russia’s Sofia Nadyrshina and Igor Sluev will hope for further success following their victories in Scoul.
