not in a crosswalk and police say attempting to cross busy kennelworth avenue just proved too risky. a jacket stuck under this dump truck, evidence investigators will examine as part of this deadly pedestrian-struck collision on kennelworth avenue. prince george s county police say the victim was not in a crosswalk when the truck hit him. the truck kept going and turned at the intersection. at about 6:20 a dump truck was coming out of this business making a right turn, going southbound on kennelworth avenue when he struck the individual walking across the street. he did keep going just a short ways. he was going to get some gas. once he got out of the truck, he realized, that, oh, he hit someone, so he came immediately right back to the scene. reporter: this is the lot where the truck driver pulled out on to kennelworth avenue. the deadly scene served as a somber reminder to those who danger. nobody uses the crosswalk. people always in a hurry. nobody you know follo
few weeks ago. murder is no stranger at this gas station. in the last four years, three young men killed here. all three murdered inside where people go to play the numbers, buy cigarettes and soft drinks. customers say there s a dangerous mix of drugs and guns in the neighborhood. there s way too many drugs around here. most of the killings are drug related. it s a major problem. so when you combine the prevalence of drugs with the high prevalence of guns, it s a very bad combination. reporter: december 2nd, 2013, it was 25-year-old delante jackson shot and killed at the gas station. an arrest made in that case. october 25th, 2015, 22-year-old christopher eli gunned down inside the station s store. that case closed as death of carrington daye. this wave of violence at this gas station has not gone unnoticed by prince george s county police. we don t look at the numbers. we look at three people who have lost their lives and another mother lost her son last night. our po

spree. it started at a 7/11 in clinton where an armed robbery ended with a store clerk dead. that is where we find wusa9 s matt yurus. he joins us live with the latest on the suspect. matt? reporter: good evening. now, police got that surveillance video. but they don t show the guy s face leaving viewers to examine other details. here, the suspect s back is to the camera revealing a black and gray backpack. the same goes for this shot. the man s hood covers most of his face, but police believe he is the one who tried to rob this 7/11 and allegedly shot the clerk. officers got the call around 5:00 a.m. when they arrived they found taiwo oduwole suffering from gunshot wounds. he died at the hospital. so sad. somebody came and took hi street from taiwo oduwole. always willing to smile. it is unfortunate he had to die like this. very quiet nice neighborhood. reporter: as taiwo oduwole fought for his life, the suspect fled the scene. but police say he didn t get too far. t
