to the last known area of this plane fairly quickly, wouldn t you assume? you would assume that. but, again, you re talking about a search for wreckage that is presumed to have gone in the water. we don t know what the trajectory of the airplane was or is after it came out of 37,000 feet. from 37,000 feet, that airplane, you know, could have gone another 50, 60, 70 miles. it could be in the water. it could be over some piece of land mass, you know, in a densely forested area or vegetation area. so the search they ll set up a search grid based on the last known position, and then utilize the aerial assets to look probably over the water first and then expand that search area if they don t find anything towards land. i want to bring in now msnbc s cal perry because he has taken and has very good knowledge of this particular path that this plane was taking from paris to egypt. what is that flight like? it s not a very long flight, correct, cal? no, it s a short flight. w
