The only survivor of the mass shooting at an office building in Orange, California, in March that left four people, including her 9-year-old son, dead was released Wednesday from the hospital.
Blanca Ismeralda Tamayo was released from UCI Medical Center on Wednesday, two bullets still lodged in her head. Tamayo will be recovering at home from injuries she suffered in the March 31 shooting at the real estate office where she worked.

SANTA ANA The only survivor of the March 31 mass shooting in Orange has been released from the hospital to heal at home and mourn the deaths of a son and daughter who were among four people killed in the rampage.
Blanca Ismeralda Tamayo was released from UCI Medical Center on May 5, two bullets still lodged in her head, the Orange County Register reported.
Tamayo is recovering from wounds she suffered in the shooting at the real estate office where she worked. Among the fatally wounded victims were her 9-year-old son, Matthew Farias, and her 28-year-old daughter, Jenevieve Raygoza, who was herself a mother of two young children. ....

ORANGE, Calif. (AP) - The only survivor of a deadly shooting rampage at a Southern California business complex was released from the hospital on Wednesday with a bullet still lodged in her head.
Blanca Tamayo wore a helmet and a T-shirt bearing a photo of her 9-year-old son, Matthew Farias, who died in her arms during the March 31 attack in Orange, southeast of Los Angeles. She underwent surgery at UCI Medical Center.
“I’ve got my family: the father of my boy, my son,” Tamayo said about her other family members. “And they are there to love me and support me, and I am thankful for that.” ....

Blanca Tamayo was dying when she arrived at UCI Medical Center. She had been shot in the head and her two children and ex-husband were among the four killed in a mass shooting in Orange five weeks ago.
A team of doctors, surgeons and nurses saved her life and cared for her as she recovered. Now, the sole survivor of the tragedy that unfolded on March 31 was being released. ....
