Dover city councilor s plans unclear after string of absences
He represents Ward 4.
Neither Mayor Robert Carrier nor City Manager Michael Joyal are aware of why Manley has missed recent meetings or if he plans to start attending meetings in January, which is the next time the council will meet.
Carrier stated during a recent interview Manley told him at one point he “might miss a couple of meetings.”
A review of City Council videos shows Manley attended the Sept. 9 council meeting, then missed meetings on Sept. 23, Oct. 14, Oct. 28, Nov. 18, Dec. 2 and Dec. 9.
But Carrier said he does not know when or if Manley, whose term runs through the end of 2021, plans to return. ....
