NORTH HAVEN Two young children who were reported missing have been found safe in Florida with their mother, police said Wednesday.
The boys, ages 2 and 1, were last seen in the company of their mother, Brittany Young, on Saturday North Haven, police said.
On Saturday, police went to a Montowese Avenue residence to assist the state Department of Children and Families on a welfare check on the two children.
“During that time, it was learned their mother, Brittany Young, may have fled with the children to avoid DCF involvement,” police said. “Brittany and her children were not located at the home or at the homes of other area relatives and associates.”

NORTH HAVEN, CT Two brothers missing from North Haven were found safe with their mother Wednesday in Florida, according to police.
Silver Alerts were issued Monday for Lucifer and Thor Guy, who were believed to be with their mother, Brittany Young. Thor is 12 months and Lucifer is 2.
